ABOUT ACG
The Atlanta Cardiology Group, PC (ACG) was founded in 1967 by Dr. Arnoldo Fiedotin, a pioneer in the field of cardiovascular disease. ACG initiated the first comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory in Georgia and in 1979 became the first center in the Southeast to perform coronary angioplasty. Many of our specialists have strong academic backgrounds and continue an involvement in basic science and clinical research. Since the 1990s, the practice has doubled in size through acquisitions and mergers of several cardiology practices, continuous physician recruitment efforts, and construction and expansion of practice sites.

The Atlanta Cardiology Group, PC (ACG), is a member of Piedmont Cardiovascular Physicians and the Piedmont Heart Institute. ACG has 25 physicians practicing at over a dozen locations across north Georgia, has set the standard for excellence in cardiovascular care since its inception in 1967. Through our expert team of physicians, with specialized training in specific cardiovascular conditions, our goal is to provide our patients will the full spectrum of cardiovascular care.
ACG, one of the largest groups of cardiologists in Georgia, offers the full range of cardiovascular services. ACG is one of the few places in Atlanta where one telephone call can assist a heart patient all the way from prevention to diagnostic studies to heart transplantation.
- Our preventive cardiology focus includes consultative cardiology, risk factor modification, lipid disorder management and patient education.
- Cardiac testing performed includes echocardiography, transesophageal echo, exercise stress testing, nuclear stress testing, stress echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, intracoronary ultrasound, electrophysiologic studies, arrhythmia evaluation, heart biopsy, vascular ultrasound, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT.
- ACG's therapeutic cardiologists are highly specialized in the areas of transcatheter ablation, pacemakers, treatment of acute myocardial infarction, biventricular pacing and defibrillators, complex coronary intervention and atherectomy.
- Our peripheral vascular team is highly sought after for their expertise in carotid arteriograms, aortograms with run-off, carotid stenting and peripheral stenting.
- Our heart failure management team is dedicated to cardiomyopathy evaluation and cardiac transplant evaluation.
